Background
Lycanthropy was an Affliction that has roamed the lands for centuries; Infecting whatever races they can with their deadly disease. This caused people to become dangerously aggressive, put on more weight and muscle- and some people stated they began to get taller… However, with those Symptoms came a curse; Their body would snap in painful ways, causing them to turn into a wolf whenever anger got a hold of them.. So When the war Began, They didn't hesitate to let loose and begin shredding anything in their way to pieces.
Appearance
Lycans are humans who were infected long ago with an affliction, one that would change them forever. These afflicted people are typically of a larger build, containing more muscle and height. They also are usually more unkempt, not afraid to have a lot of hair or be fairly dirty. Their eyes are usually of a more vibrant colour, if not abnormal colours such as bright Yellows- And their Ears were always covered in layers of wolf-like hair, along with obtaining a big wolf-like tail, being either nicely slim, or big and fluffy, depending on how one would take care of such. Lycans are able to shift into large Direwolves, painfully shifting willingly and unwillingly when night strikes.
Culture
Humans or any other races who are afflicted with Lycanthropy tend to be more aggressive if the lycanthropy is untamed, resulting in a lot of anger and emotional issues which affect their day-to-day life in Cinderfell. Blending in is a bit harder due to their eyes, so most try their best to use other means to blend in with the crowd by using cosmetics, or simply prefer travelling and interacting with others when night hits. Lycans are able to afflict other humans, However the Human has to swallow a decent portion of the Lycans blood to turn. Turning fully takes a week, and is painfully curable during the 1 week by ingesting wolfsbane.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Lycans' strengths also rely on their senses- Intense smell and hearing help aid werewolves in hunting for food and knowing when danger is approaching, and their intense speed also takes effect in human form, albeit not as strong as when they are on 4 legs. Werewolves also have extra strength due to their muscle gain. Lycans can also rely a lot on physical force in their wolf form, such as claws, biting, etc.
Lycans weaknesses, however, make them oddly weak to anything Silver- It touching their skin in the form of jewelry can cause irritation to the skin, along with rashing and burning sensation. Being stabbed by silver takes twice as long to heal than an average human and can be very fatal if not treated correctly. Another extreme weakness to Lycans is a plant called Wolfsbane- Extremely toxic and irritating to skin, and if ingested can lead an almost guaranteed death. Lycans also have to maintain a Healthy Diet, Though they can also eat raw foods without getting the harmful drawbacks that would normally come from eating raw foods.
