The War against Terramoore
"Five years, it has been, Since the War of Terramoore.. Yet the Crowds and screams still haunt me to this day"
People may assume from the name given to this war, that there was a siege on a city, or a fight between nations, but this war was far from that. The war against Terramoore was a one-man war, waged by Roman Duraze. Roman was the lead of Terramoore, assumed to hold no magic due to his interest in technology and Magic-tech, but also because of his dislike towards mages and his unfair rulings against them.
But Roman was something no one expected- a man who was going insane with his new-found power of being King after the Age of Violence… A man that craved more, and more, till he couldn’t get enough. He wanted to control everything and anything that he possibly could.. And he found out that he could, by studying dark arts and using the Terramoore Magical tree to fuel his power and learnings. The Man went as far as to host a celebration.. Only to begin blowing up and killing all the innocent people of his city to turn them into mindless, undead soldiers.
Those who survived fled to the Ruined, swampy, small town of Evaurd… Plotting their revenge against the man who just changed their lives in a matter of seconds, the man who had changed the course of many peoples futures and ruined so many lives. Towns from around Cinderfell, who were also victims of the mans undead terror, pledged to help and aid in fending off the man and his army from the small town of Evaurd.
From Azunder offering their Medicine and their famous Alchemist Perseus’s aid, to the people of Ereduinian sending ships and carts over to the small town to evacuate people who were not fit to fight or injured.. Other Towns and groups such as Crestone chose to reinforce the town as much as they could, and aid in the training of civilians. However, most people of Evaurd were trained and a part of a group of Mercenaries, run and ordered by a man named Cahir, able to hold their own against undead and other enemies.
Other adventurers plotted ways to work together and aid in the assault in small, yet impactful ways. People made hidden sacrifices and deals behind closed doors, just to take down the Army of the undead and put Roman ten feet underground for all he had done to them. Some still refuse to say what they had sacrificed or done in order to get where they were today…
Roman was Inevitably slain, after a long and brutal Battle along Evaurd and its surroundings. The Undead that remained eventually collapsed in the streets and water around evaurd, the control of the undead being broken once the man's head was ripped from his body. Albeit it was a victory worthy of celebration.. The Waters of Evaurd were now tainted, and Romans' siege upon the lands of Cinderfell left a lot of trade routes broken or abandoned, left for savages to wait along the roads for supplies to rob.
So out of desperation.. People fled to whatever towns or cities that would take them in, however most fled the mainland of Cinderfell all together; venturing into the isles of Cinderfell.. The Archipelago, as adventurers soon came to realise, was not the kindest spot to seek refuge..
And something.. Begun brewing in the darkness of the Archipelago, sitting the stirring for the next five years.. Ready to unleash any moment upon the players of cinderfell.
